Incarnation Travelogue Series: A Visit to Cuba

Join us for our first travelogue series of 2019 with a virtual visit to Cuba. Join Selina as she shares her experience from her recent trip to the Caribbean island.

Cuba is located in the northern Caribbean where the Caribbean Sea, Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean meet. It is east of the Yucatán Peninsula (Mexico), south of both the U.S. state of Florida and the Bahamas, west of Haiti and north of both Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.

Spring Vocal Studio Recital

A vocal concert featuring students of Corey Head. Music from many styles—opera, art song, musical theater, jazz and popular. Students of all levels will perform for friends, family and the community. Music by Kander & Ebb, Weill, Bach, Debussy, Handel and many others.

Concert Canceled

Ajay started learning violin at age 3 and is currently a student of Zhao Wei of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He has won local, state, and international violin competitions and awards, and made his Carnegie Hall debut at age 12 with the Carnegie Honors Orchestra of North America. Subsequently, he was chosen to perform a recital in Carnegie Hall at age 13. Ajay is currently a member of the California Youth Symphony. He also enjoys chamber music at the California Music Preparatory Academy and has performed at the California Summer Music festival and the Summit Music Festival. In 2017, Ajay will be traveling to India to perform a recital at the National Center for Performing Arts, and in 2018, he will be traveling with CYS orchestra to Russia and Eastern Europe to perform at such venues as the Shostakovich St. Petersburg Philharmonia.

From California’s redwood forests to Texas, the Rocky Mountains, Cape Cod, and more. Cities, states, and natural wonders — all part of the beautiful land we call home.

Come take a musical tour with Sing Out Strong! We’re a group of talented San Francisco singers who love to share our joy of singing. This is our third season performing for Sunset Music & Arts. The ensemble was formed in 2017 by director Ellaine Jerome and pianist Betty Fujimoto. The group enjoys performing on behalf of nonprofit organizations and for community members are are unable to attend “downtown” concerts.

Singers are invited to participate in an intensive week designed to completely polish their auditions. Participants are asked to bring 2 – 5 memorized arias, musical theatre crossover or required selections for conservatories or graduate schools. At the end of the week, singers will receive feedback on their audition from a panel of music professionals who make casting decisions and perform a selection of arias and songs for an invited audience in a concert.
